Gran Turismo 5 sells 5.5 million units; franchise surpasses 60 million
As of December 6th, Gran Turismo 5 has sold more than 5.5 million units worldwide. This brings the total sales for the franchise to more than 60 million!
The feat was accomplished in a blistering 12 days time since the game’s release on November 24th. The majority of sales came from Europe with 3.56 million units sold. Then came North America with 1.25 million units. Lastly, Japan and the rest of Asia sold a decent 0.55 and 0.16 million units respectively.
