North American PS Store Update for December 14th – I am Magneto, master of magnet!
This week’s update is packed with such delicious content. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can now download the DC Universe Online beta. The initial size is deceptively small, weighing in at a meager 117MBs. Don’t let that fool you though, the actual size ends up being 15GBs. It’s definitely worth checking out though.
Additionally, all five episodes of Sam & Max are free to PS+ members, along with Crash Team Racing and Fieldrunners. As usual, there’s a bunch of discounted games as well.
As for everyone else, there’s a bunch of new games in today’s update. Actually, it’s more like a bunch of old games , with titles like Prince of Persia: Warrior Within HD, Galaxy Fight (PSone Import), Prototype (overpriced), and the infamous X-Men Arcade (awesome).
On the DLC front, there’s a free update for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood that adds a new map and gamemode to the online multiplayer. The Force Unleashed II also received a ridiculously cheap bonus mission add-on. Fans of the Legacy of Kain series will be pleased to know that Raziel and Kain have finally been reunited… as a downloadable character pack for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. It’s not quite a return to Nosgoth, but it’s good enough for now. For the music lovers out there, there’s a bunch of new Rock Band songs featuring Billy Joel.
Oh, and there’s a Pocket Fighter Chun-Li avatar ;P

yep, last week made me really proud to be a PS+ member, most notably the DC Universe Online Beta. I have been playing that a TON on my other account. I've gotten about 15-20 hours sunk into that. If it didn't keep freezing on me, I'd probably be playing it right now. but it's gotten progressively worse the more I've played. At first I could play about 1 hour or more until it froze. now i'm lucky if I get 20 minutes in before it freezes. It's very frustrating and is putting me off from playing it more often. don't get me wrong, it's a fun game, and I know it's a beta, but sheesh, they had better be working on a patch, or something.

LikeSo for as with the beta I can say, I have yet to play it. I'm still trying to have it download but with how long it's taking I doubt it's even worth the time. I'm somewhat disappointed but I'll let it download and hope my wait will pay off in the end though I won't be getting the game at all after hearing it will cost 15 dollars a month to play online with it.

LikeThe Marvel Pinball tables were pretty fun, and a much better system to encourage you to keep playing tracking your friends, making new ones as well as for earning trophies when compared to the Zen Pinball original.

LikeMan alive, 15GBs for the DC Universe beta! I couldn't make room for that even if I tried, good thing I'm not a PS+ subscriber then. So I'm with Vich, it'll just be another episode of the tester for me this week.

You got to love it when DLC is made and given for free. Makes you happy. I can't wait to try the new map and game mode that will come with it as soon as I download it.
I might get the PROTOTYPE trial since I've been curious on the game for awhile, or at least ever since the war between what was better, Infamous or PROTOTYPE, was started. So that I shall get as well. The other stuff here, I'm not to sure if I'll get or not but I'll look at them first before deciding.
