This is what the Mortal Kombat arcade stick looks like

Submitted by on Tuesday, 14 December 2010One Comment

The awkward button layout returns! Yay?

TRMK managed to get their hands on the first images of the Kollector’s  and Tournament Editions of Mortal Kombat. While it’s not confirmed as of yet, it looks like we also get a glimpse at the final box art. It all looks pretty sweet.

As we mentioned earlier today, the Tournament Edition includes the game, an arcade stick, and a voucher for a klassic MK skin. Check it out below:

Arcade fans probably remember this layout. The middle button is block, the left side is dedicated to punches, and the right side is dedicated to kicks. We’re not exactly sure what the layout is for the new game, but it looks like it’ll be similar. It’s also pretty neat that the stick acts as a storage compartment. That’s a clever design. Let’s just hope that this is a quality product that won’t break easily.

Check out the picture of the Kollector’s Edition below. This version includes Mortal Kombat, an artbook, Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurines, and the klassic MK skin. That Scorpion figure sure looks awesome. Unfortunately, there were no images of Sub-Zero.

Mortal Kombat hits store shelves this coming April. Pricing for the special editions have not been announced yet for some reason. If you pre-order from GameStop, Amazon, or BestBuy, you’ll received the following bonus content:

Best Buy – Klassic Sub-Zero and original Sub-Zero Fatality
Gamestop – Klassic Scorpion and original Scorpion Fatality
Amazon – Klassic Reptile and original Reptile Fatality
