Move support added to Blue Toad Murder Files

Relentless Software has today announced that Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle will be playable with PlayStation Move in Europe from the next time users launch their game.

For those unfamiliar with Blue Toad Murder Files, it is an episodic puzzle adventure with a quintessential English feel. It has you playing as a Blue Toad detective who must interrogate suspects to solve riddles in a small English village. It isn’t a particularly challenging game – Relentless Software is after all committed to creating family friendly titles without steep learning curves – but it is a charming title all the same.

It’ll be interesting to see how Blue Toad Murder Files plays with PlayStation Move, whether it’ll improve controls or just be novel. For Andrew Eades, executive director at Relentless Software, PlayStation Move should make the game more accessible to a wider audience:

“We’re really pleased to add Move support to Blue Toad Murder Files as we believe in making games easy for everybody to play. The Move is a natural [fit] for Blue Toad and is a great way to introduce your family to the joys of video games over the holidays.”

If you’re interested in Blue Toad Murder Files and haven’t picked up the episodes yet, this may be a good time to get hold of them. Episodes 1-6 will be on sale between 22nd December and 4th January, with all six episodes available for £9.99 / €12.99 / $14.99.

Move support is only available in Europe at this point but the update will be coming to North America in January 2011.

Well, reckon I've found the town's twisted fire-starter.
