Pure gameplay footage – Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam

Submitted by on Monday, 13 December 20106 Comments

Looking forward to equipping a flame-thrower in the new Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion pack? We know we are. We went hands-on recently and shared our views with you, and you appeared to like the sound of it. Well, now we can bring you gameplay footage, so you can now see for yourself just how much fun these new maps are.

The video shows footage from scorched fields of Hill 137 and Vantage Point, a sniper’s paradise. Check out the video below:

We also have details of a previously unannounced fifth map called Battle For Hastings. It’s not exactly a new map; it previously appeared in Battlefield: Vietnam, in 2004, under the name Operation Hastings. This is what the Battlefield Blog has to say about it:

“If you didn’t play it back then, it’s one of the favorites among our fans, featuring everything awesome in one fantastic arena: boats, helicopters, tanks, jeeps, temples, and the signature bridge dividing the map into two strategic areas.”

The map will not be available from the off, there’s an interesting twist. It will only become available once 69m team actions are performed actions across Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. So any resupplying, reviving, healing and repairing you do from 21 December will count towards this total. That’s one way to bribe players into being good team mates.

The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam expansion pack will be going live 21 December in North America and in Europe on 22 December. It will be available on PSN for £9.99.
