The moment fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. The sequel to the critically acclaimed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has been unveiled as Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Entertainment Weekly got the inside scoop on the early stages of development for U3 along with a short teaser of what’s to come.

Nathan Drake is back along with his trust companion, Victor Sullivan. This time, the two are traveling into the heart of Arabian Desert in search of the legendary lost city, “Atlantis of the Sands.” As the title suggests, deception will play a pivotal role in the upcoming game. Whether Drake is on the giving or receiving end of it has yet to be revealed.

Returning in Drake’s Deception will be competitive and co-op multiplayer as well.

“Competitive and co-op multiplayer will return as a key ingredient to the UNCHARTED 3 package, where all of the new features we have planned will combine with our signature single-player cinematic gameplay to create a unique action-adventure multiplayer experience that can only be found in the UNCHARTED universe.”
