SEGA and PlatinumGames have announced Anarchy Reigns, a third-person multiplayer brawler where anarchy is king.

Anarchy Reigns plans to challenge the conventions of the typical brawler by allowing multiple players to jump right into the action. Included in the game will be various mulitplayer modes including Tag Team battles and Battle Royal that will incorporate different challenges.

“SEGA are delighted to continue our collaboration with PlatinumGames, one of the most creative and critically acclaimed developers in the world,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing of SEGA West. “ANARCHY REIGNS is set to offer gamers a fresh multiplayer experience with the quality and innovation PlatinumGames are renowned for.”

PlatinumGames have been making a name for themselves in the past few years with the critically acclaimed Bayonetta and most recently, Vanquish. Judging by the first batch of screenshots released, we can already see elements of of both games present in Anarchy Reigns.

The game is due out this autumn on PS3 and Xbox 360. Fans can visit the official website for more information as it becomes available.
