New Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood DLC coming in March

Submitted by on Saturday, 19 February 20116 Comments

On the heels of the announcement that the next full installment in the series is coming later this year, Ubitsoft has revealed a new batch of DLC for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood featuring the original renaissance man.

‘The Da Vinci Disappearance’ is set to add content for both the single player and multiplayer aspects of the game.

After the fall of the Borgias in Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind. Ezio will embark on a relentless quest to recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late, discovering two new locations and two new gameplay features along the way.

Those of us more concerned with stalking and assassinating fellow gamers, can look forward to a rather large multiplayer expansion. Included in the expansion is a new map titled ‘Alhambra‘ centered Spain’s Albaicin of Granada. Alhambra boasts multileveled indoor and outdoor environments and of course the crowds of NPCs.

Accompanying the new map are four new playable characters for the multiplayer arenas. Downloaders will be able to play as Dama Rossa, the knight, the Marquis, and the Pariah.

And that’s not all assassin’s. Bundled into this nice piece of DLC are two brand spanking new multiplayer modes: Escort and Assassinate.

In Escort mode, two teams of four players compete in this team-based mode where each team must protect their VIP target or assassinate the other team’s VIP. In Assassinate mode, six to eight players are pitted against each other deathmatch style in one ten minute round.

It appears we have one hell of a piece of add-on content. Fans of the series can expect ‘The Da Vince Disappearance’ and all of the multiplayer additions in early March retailing for $10. No news has been released regarding the European price tag but a £7.99/€9.99 price point can be expected.
