Codemasters announced today that DiRT 3 will be released globally across all formats on May 24th, 2011 and have provided a few new screenshots as well.

DiRT 3 will doubling the track content of DiRT 2, consisting of more cars, locations, routes and events than any other game in the series. In addition, Rally content will account for 60 percent of the game’s career mode and will take you across Finland, Kenya, Norway and Michigan.

If you’re looking to take a break from Gran Turismo 5  and get off the tracks the game is most notable for and into the wilderness of off-roading, then DiRT 3 is shaping up to be a superb choice.
