Bethesda Softworks announced The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at last year’s VGAs with a brief teaser trailer depicting a stone mural in which a dragon comes to life. They have now released the first official gameplay trailer for Skyrim and boy is it beautiful.

Introducing us to the vast world of Skyrim, the latest trailer reveals the various environments including snowfields and forests and shows us more of what we all want the most; dragons.

We can also see the great attention to detail in the characters and their environments. So far it appears to be shaping up to be just as good, if not better, than Oblivion. For more information on everything Skyrim, check out our previous post regarding the numerous new additions to the game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due out in stores on November 11, 2011.
