Test your might; Mortal Kombat Challenge Tower introduced

Mortal Kombat Challenge Tower e1299243980336 Test your might; Mortal Kombat Challenge Tower introducedIGN has revealed the new Challenge Tower for the upcoming Mortal Kombat. This isn’t your average tower where you make your way through opponents of increasing difficulty though. The new Challenge Tower builds upon the fighting engine and allows you to play the game in different ways never thought possible.

You’ll have to progress up the tower by playing various mini-games. Test your Might, Sight, and Strike all make a return and there’s a new one called Test Your Luck where random modifiers affect the match. Sometimes you’ll be battling upside down, sometimes you won’t be able to jump, or sometimes you won’t have any arms!

The Mortal Kombat series has always had a strange sense of humor and the Challenge Tower brings out the best of that. The video only shows a handful of the challenges so we can’t wait to see what’s in store for us and that special reward for completing the Tower. Do you have what it takes to make it through all 300 challenges and reach the top?

Also, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get the chance to play the Mortal Kombat demo on March 8th, a full week before it officially hits the PSN Store.

The demo will include Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage and Mileena, complete with Fatalities and X-Ray attacks. You will be able to fight in The Pit and The Living Forest in either single player or one-on-one versus matches. Oh, and did we mention it supports stereoscopic 3D as well?

Mortal Kombat is due out April 19th in North America and on the 21st in Europe.
