February 2011 recap: racing, fighting and shooting our way through the month

This time last year, we’d just seen the releases of high profile titles such as BioShock 2, Dante’s Inferno, Heavy Rain and the North American and European releases of White Knight Chronicles and Star Ocean: The Last Hope International. European PS Store Update for March 2 – Fast cars and avatars

PixelJunk Monsters 2 rules the update this week but what the avatars lack in content they make up for in sheer numbers.

Not to be outdone by the swarm of avatars is a healthy batch of add-on content. The Call of Duty: Black Ops map pack is sure to be the top download of the week but do not look past Dead Space 2 – Severed and the Dragon Age 2 downloads.

All told it looks like a good week. Take a look and download away.

Titled Fault Line, we finally get a real good look at the gameplay rather than the quick glimpses we saw in the teaser trailer. War is never a pretty sight, and it appears these new videos will capture that essence.

Quick question: invisibility or flight? Take some time to mull it over.

Hopefully you chose invisibility (let’s be smart about this jet packs already exist) because by the look of this trailer you’ll be able to achieve just that in Crysis 2.

It has been close to a decade since the release of the latter, and fighting fans have been calling for a sequel all this time. But now, finally, fan are getting what they want with the release of Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

The question is: can Fate of Two Worlds live up to the hype, or are Marvel and Capcom two series that simply can’t play nice?
