Resident Evil 4 and Code: Veronica X getting the HD remake treatment
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, and to celebrate Capcom is re-releasing both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X in HD as downloadable titles.
Originally released in 2005 for the Gamecube, Resident Evil 4 has gone on to critical acclaim and been remade for the PS2 and Wii. By now you’ve played the game in some form or another. Are you ready for one more?
Touting updated HD visuals as well as trophy/achievement support, Resident Evil 4 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is the definitive edition. The game will also include Ada’s Separate Ways epilogue bonus content that debuted on the PS2 version of the game.
Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is based off the PS2 version of the game and like RE4, will feature updated visuals and trophy support.
Both games are slated to be released this fall for digital download. Check out the comparison screenshots we have for you below to see the graphic enhancements. Boy do they look pretty.
With so many games getting the HD remake treatment these days, this begs us to question; where’s our remake of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis?
