With the wide variety of snowboarding games to choose from, how can PS3 gamers be expected to separate SSX: Deadly Descents from the pack?
Luckily that’s wildly untrue and even if it was EA Sports is doing its damnedest to make sure they deliver a monumental, signature game.
We are in the marketplace, four of us, and tens of bony, nimble aliens are surrounding us. They’re clinging to the walls and hurling themselves at us, while we’re desperately trying to survive by pumping a truckload of lead into them. It’s dark; the pace is fast; there is destruction everywhere; and we’re having a lot of fun.
We’re playing Red Faction: Armageddon’s Infestation co-op mode. It is essentially a Gears of War-style Horde mode, which – for non Xbox-owning readers – is similar to Call of Duty’s Nazi Zombies, Uncharted 2’s Siege mode and Bulletstorm’s Anarchy mode. It has you fighting wave after wave of aliens (about 30 waves per map) with increasing difficulty the more you kill.
While you may not be familiar with the name Michael Bross, chances are you’ve probably heard his work. As an award winning composer, he has worked on multiple video games including Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee and …
Konami has released a new batch of screenshots for the upcoming Silent Hill: Downpour showcasing what appears to be a run down mining facility, a perfect fit for the Silent Hill locale.
Of all the aspects that went into developing SOCOM 4, one of the most unheralded may be the musical score. Proper music can take a gameplay experience to a much deeper level of immersion.
Perfecting the score of SOCOM 4: US Navy SEALs was an undertaking that Sony Computer Entertainment took very seriously. This video is certainly proof of that.
Rarely do we use words such as epic to describe things here on PS3 Attitude but but EA has recently released the full 12 minute trailer for Battlefield, and we must say it looks absolutely stunning.
As we told you yesterday, EA would release the trailer if one million people liked the official Battlefield Facebook page. Unfortunately that hasn’t happened yet but they released the trailer this weekend anyway. The producer’s commentary is still locked and so if you haven’t befriended the page yet, what are you waiting for? It’s a little over 150,000 likes away.
Now, about that gameplay trailer.
Coming up on May 31 in the US and June 3 in the UK Red Faction: Armageddon, the third installment of the franchise, will be released to a into the wild.
Fans of the multiplayer features in Red Faction: Guerilla will find that the philosophy regarding online gameplay will have a much different feel to it this time around.
As far as exclusive first-person shooter experiences go there are two marquee franchises: Resistance and Killzone. Both of which have provided PS3 gamers with distinct and memorable games.
Later this year Resistance fans are set to yet again polish off some deserving Chimerans in Resistance 3. Take a look at the game’s visuals with these newly released screenshots.
EA has released a new trailer for Battlefield 3 entitled “My Life”. In it, we see actual game footage, much like the three Fault Line videos that have previously been posted. As a matter of …
You know what the worst part of falling from a great distance is? The end. The sudden and jarring splat of one’s body utterly ruins what would otherwise be a wondrous jaunt.
Thankfully the minds at Aperture Laboratories have solved this unfortunate gravitational reality with the debut of the ‘long fall boot’.
PlayStation Move Heroes: the title is clear and unambigious, most likely targeting poor old grandparents out shopping for their grandchildren. Little Billy got Move for his birthday and he needs a game for it. They …
This week on the store we have received a couple of games that have been on many a radar since their respective announcements.
Might & Magic Clash Of Heroes first arrived to the gaming scene on the Nintendo DS but has since moved on to the greener pastures of the PS3. Konami’s Rush ‘n Attack franchise made quite the name for itself all the way back in 1985, and now it is ready for its current generation close-up.
At last week’s Captivate, Capcom’s annual press event, the company revealed a project they have been working on for the past three years, Dragon’s Dogma.
From director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Hiroyuki Kabayashi, the creators of Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 4, comes a new open world adventure filled with dragons, hydras, and other mythical beasts. While at first glance it may look like just another Monster Hunter mixed in with a bit of Demon’s Souls, Capcom assures us that Dragon’s Dogma is something very different.
When 505 Games announced Supremacy MMA last year, our first thoughts were not positive. We won’t lie; we didn’t think we needed another MMA game. THQ has that genre sewn-up with their UFC games, and EA Sports’ MMA is a very good alternative. We could not see what Kung Fu Factory could do to supplant them.
So what gives them an edge? “We’re not beholden to any sort of brand or organisation, we’re here to make all of our decisions and at the top of the list is great gameplay”, explains Ricci Rukavina, founder, CEO and creative director at Kung Fu Factory. In front of us is the game and Ricci is showing us its ins and outs. It is not what we expected.
If you’ve been saving up for a rock-solid week of releases on the PlayStation Store we’ve got good news for you: with the money you save this week you should have enough to pick up a few nice downloads in a more noteworthy week.
Yes, you may well be excited for Dungeon Hunter: Alliance or Might And Magic Clack Of Heroes but that’s about the extent of this week’s potential highlights. Perhaps a demo or slice of DLC will hold you over.
Catherine is somewhat of a difficult game to describe. Some would call it a horror game while others would classify it more on the exotic end of the spectrum. Whatever you may think about Catherine, the game does have a heavy focus on love and relationships, and that is exactly what Atlus wants to know from you, the fans.
When Kung Fu Factory’s brutally violent Supremacy MMA drops on to the PlayStation 3 in June, female MMA fighters will, for the first time ever, be represented in a videogame.
We caught up with two of its leading female stars, Michele “Diablita” Gutierrez and Felice “Lil Bulldog” Herrig and discussed the current perception of female fighters, their future aspirations, vanity and what it’s like to see your leg being snapped in half. Ouch.
Be warmed, we’ve been told that if we don’t publish nice things, Felice and Michele will punch us ten times. We’ve seen videos of these girls in action – so we won’t argue!
Development studio Zoë Mode originally released Chime early last year, but unfortunately the game didn’t ever make its way to the PS3. Don’t worry though, because the PlayStation Network is now the exclusive home of the definitive version of the game, entitled Chime Super Deluxe – yes, good things truly do come to those who wait. Featuring extra levels, updated visuals, and a new multiplayer component, there’s never been a better time to try this game out.
In Battlefield 3 gamers may at long last have a shooter that can rival the Call of Duty franchise. Scheduled for release this autumn, Battlefield 3 aims to take strip the FPS giant of its title as top shooter.
Whether or not the game will be able to achieve such a lofty goal remains to be seen but these screenshots show us that it will definitely be formidable aesthetically.
