Shang Tsung has been one of the corner stone characters in the Mortal Kombat series since it started way back in 1992. Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have released the latest character vignette, this time featuring the evil sorcerer. Let’s see what tricks he has up his sleeve for this tournament.

In the video, we get to see a look at Shang Tsung unleashing his magical abilities on Johnny Cage, even transforming himself into the martial arts movie star at one point, while we also get a brief history lesson.

The trailer closes with Shang Tsung performing his fatality although we only get to see it through quick glimpses. Rather than simply stealing your soul like he used to, Tsung turns himself into a green mist and enters the body of his victim, and then forces them to rip their own head off!
