This announcement is not a lie as Valve has stated in a press release that DLC is currently in the works for Portal 2 and is targeted for a summer release.

Simplistically titled DLC #1, the downloadable content will include “new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more.” Even better is the announcement that it will be free of charge across all platforms. Thank you GLaDOS!

Portal 2 has already shot up on the review charts and received critical acclaim all around with a Metacritic score of 95%. Suffice to say, more portals = more fun.  The announcement doesn’t get into any more details about what exactly will be included in the new test chambers or challenge modes but anything that has to do with portals is fine by us.
