New Call Of Duty: Black Ops map pack coming soon

Submitted by on Sunday, 1 May 2011No Comment

Get your money ready. Five new maps are coming for Call Of Duty: Black Ops. Love it or hate it, this is probably the most successful video game of ever.

So as long as you’re going to buy it you may as well take a look at what you’ll be getting.

Yes, we know that the PSN is still down but here at PS3 Attitude we’d like to take some time to focus on the future instead of dwelling on the ongoing train-wreck of the here and now.

The ‘Escalation’ map pack will be available for download following the expiration of Microsoft’s exclusivity window with Activision and will include 4 new multiplayer arenas: ‘Zoo’, ‘Convoy’, ‘Hotel’, and ‘Stockpile’, as well as ‘Call Of The Dead’, a star studded addition to the ever popular zombie mode.

In ‘Zoo’ players will be dropped into an abandoned Russian zoo, ‘Convoy’ is a tight, close-quarters shootout at the scene of the ambush of a U.S. military convoy, ‘Hotel’ will take place atop the roof of a Havana luxury hotel and casino, and ‘Stockpile’ is a map centered in a Russian farming village which is believed to be housing WMD (weapons of mass destruction) facilities.

The ‘Call Of The Dead’ expansion is very interesting. Gamers will take up arms against hordes of zombies as what Activision has labeled a ‘zombie-killing dream-team’ of famed vampire slayer Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddy Kruger himself Robert Englund, The Walking Dead actor Michael Rooker and all around bad-ass Danny Trejo.

For fans seeking a potential release window the previously released ‘First Strike’ map pack was available on February 1 for Xbox 360 users and March 3 for PS3 gamers. If this is any indication, we can expect to see the ‘Escalation’ pack sometime in late May or early June.

What are your thoughts on the ‘Escalation’ map pack and which star will you prefer?
