New Dead Island screens and trailer – what’s the deal with that guy? [updated]
Despite the considerable flood of zombies onto the video game scene we still maintain our excitement for Dead Island. Whether or not that can be chalked up to the stellar trailer or an unhealthy obsession with the undead is irrelevant.
Developer Techland has released a quintuplet of new screenshots for their upcoming zombie-vacation-nightmare. Check out the guy with out-of-control growth issue. What’s going on there?
Why do we love zombies? How is it that an undead eater of brains can be somehow charming yet the sight of a person who has retained their humanity eating unfamiliar food can be considered repulsive?
Sometimes they’re slow and bumbling. Other times they have super-natural strength and speed. Either way we can’t get enough of them.
We’ve got zombies in our movies, video games, comic books, and television shows. They’ve even somehow managed to wedge their way into the very difficult to crack classic literature market.
Now that your mind is properly blown let’s shift our focus to the screenshots below which you may want to skip if you have a weak stomach.
In true zombie apocalypse fashion we see the group of survivors huddled together attempting to get their wits about them. Some are scheming while the bikini-clad of the group are paralyzed with fear.
The game is obviously going to be brutal based on these screens. The headshots and blunt force trauma look like they both have significant weight to them.
Take a look at the screens and as always leave us some of your thoughts on the screenshots, the game, or zombies in general.
