Three DLC add-ons coming to Fallout: New Vegas

Submitted by on Tuesday, 3 May 20112 Comments

Bethesda Softworks has announced future plans to release numerous DLC add-ons for Fallout: New Vegas over the coming months. Beginning May 18th, three DLC packs will be released that will expand upon the Fallout universe and open up new environments and people to interact with.

“Honest Hearts” is the first DLC pack, set to be released May 18th on the PSN, and will take you on an expedition to the unspoiled wilderness of Utah’s Zion National Park. Naturally, things don’t go as smoothly and you are ambushed by a tribal raiding band. In the end, you find yourself in a war between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. The decisions you make will determine the outcome of the battle.

The next DLC pack is “Old World Blues” and will be released in June. In a striking turn of events, you learn the truth behind the monsters you’ve encountered so many times before when when you unwittingly become a lab rat in a science experiment gone awry. The decision lies with you to either turn against your captors or side with them and face an even greater opponent. Just who (or what) this opponent is has yet to be revealed but if it’s bad enough to make you want to join the same people who kidnapped you, then it must be pretty evil.

The final DLC add-on is “Lonesome Road” and will be released in July. In this chapter you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of New Vegas. He has a job for you, a job that will lead you into the canyons of the Divide. Should you manage to complete this task, he’ll let you in on the secret as to why he didn’t deliver the Platinum Chip.

Each DLC pack will be made available for $9.99/€9.99/£7.49.

Players can already spend hundreds of hours exploring New Vegas and with these new additions coming up, the world gets bigger and bigger. Are you looking forward to upping the stakes in these new DLC chapters?
