Digital Reality has announced SkyDrift, an arcade-style racing game available for download this summer.

In SkyDrift players race around picturesque tracks in high-powered aircrafts. If one cannot outrace their opponent a well timed burst of gunfire will even the playing field.

Six unique offensive and defensive power-ups can be found littered about the environments designed to frustrate your opponents to no end.

Those who download can unlock 8 super-charged birds and personalize them with 30 different skins. Camouflage and war paint skins offer a strategic approach to a race while louder appearances are available for chest-thumping show-offs.

We’ve seen many a kart racer before but SkyDrift looks like it may boast impressive visuals for a digital only title. No mention of price or an exact release date was mentioned for the game so look out for updates in the future.
