E3 11; Q-Games announces PixelJunk SideScroller
In a way SideScroller picks up where Shooter left off. That is as long as you were able to access the unlockable stage.
SideScroller is tagged as a bit of a throwback to classic arcade-style shooters. Without a doubt the presentation is a deliberately retro but the gameplay philosophy is more closely aligned with the physics environment control of the Shooter series.
A variety of liquids and gases fill the terrain which can be augmented by way of drilling or good old fashioned shooting. Available elements can be combined to persuade reactions (I’ll see your ice and raise you fire).
Weapons can be customized and upgraded throughout the game adding an element of strategy and increasing replayability.
Expect SideScroller to drop later this year and before you go, have a look at a some screenshots for the game below.
