As E3 approaches, there’s nothing like releasing a trailer for one of the most anticipated games of recent memory to increase the already palpable excitement. That’s exactly what Sony and Naughty Dog have done, as over the last couple of days the internet has been going crazy for the new co-op trailer for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
One update wasn’t enough to capture all the content that has been building up during the outage. Yes, the June 1st update was substantial but there’s simply more to be had.
It’s Welcome Back time people so make sure you get your free games this week. One particular stipulation for the program is that you must select your free games from the Welcome Back banner on the storefront. Going straight for the game will mean you will be paying for it. This week E3 rules the gaming universe but let’s not forget that one of the PS3′s flagship franchises is releasing a sequel. inFamous 2 will be available June 7th but there is definitely time left to amplify the anticipation for Cole McGrath’s return. This trailer highlighting some of the new powers awaiting gamers aims to do just that.

Konami hosted its pre-e3 show in which the company revealed its plans for E3 and beyond. One thing that continued to pop up throughout the 55 minute presentation was classic Konami franchises getting remade into HD collections, specifically Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, and Zone of the Enders. It’s been an interesting couple of months without PSN. Let’s just say, we’ve come to appreciate the value of online connectivity. So much so, it’s hard to imagine how we coped in the dark old days. You know, about 5 or 6 years ago, when our consoles were always offline. Our grandchildren won’t believe it; we can hardly believe it.
Independent development studio Minority has announced that their first title, Papo & Yo, will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation Network.
The game follows the adventures of a boy named Quico and his best friend, Monster who is this massive pink rhino-esque creature. You see, Monster is addicted to poisonous frogs that make him turn into this scary killing machine that will destroy anything in its path, and Quico wants to help out his friend by finding a cure.
Oh PlayStation Store it’s good to have you back. What more is there to say really? We’ve missed you mightily and you’ve now returned to your rightful place upon our dashboards.
One of the few positives to come out of the outage is this rather large update. There’s plenty to look over here so let’s get started.
This is somewhat of a unique week for the PlayStation Store in that the content of the update pales in comparison to the fact there is an update to speak of.
