Sly Cooper 4 has been rumoured for a couple of years now, but Sony have finally given platformer fans the news they’ve been waiting for, with the announcement of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

Other than the title, trailer, and a vague release date of 2012, not much else is currently known about the game. The good news is that it sounds like Kevin Miller (Sly) and Matt Olsen (Bentley) both reprise their roles, which is sure to please fans.

Thieves in Time is the first original game in the series not being developed by Sucker Punch Productions. Instead, Sanzaru Games are overseeing development, but with their sterling work on The Sly Collection, we’re sure they’ve got what it takes to match the high quality of the series.
