Batman won’t kill but Gotham City Impostors doesn’t seem to have a problem with it
Gotham City Impostors developer Monolith Productions has taken advantage of the captive audience at Comic-Con in San Diego by unveiling the debut trailer for their Dark Knight-themed first-person shooter.
When the bat’s away, the idiots will play.
Gotham City Impostors is a unique take on the Batman universe which delves into the less publicized world of some of Gotham’s citizens. Normal (sort of) people without the resources or high intellect of either Batman or the Joker.
When Batman and the Joker are busy with their respective causes, bands of ne’er-do-wells and vigilantes take to the streets. They engage in brutal battles which appear to fly under the radar of both the caped crusader and the sadistic clown. Sort of way legions of Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie fans wage war across message boards without either starlet being the wiser.
Aside from the conflicting notion of a FPS centered around the Batman universe Gotham City Impostors, from the look of the trailer, doesn’t appear to take itself too seriously which will no doubt help sell the idea to gamers.
