Borderlands 2 will take Pandora to all new heights
Released in 2009, Borderlands was met with widespread critical acclaim that praised the first person shooter and RPG mechanics which set the game apart from all others. It comes as no surprise then, that a sequel is currently in the works and set for a fiscal year 2013 release, according to 2K Games and Gearbox Software.
So, what can we expect from the role-playing shooter sequel?
Borderlands 2 will feature “all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story.” You’ll be able to uncover new secrets and venture into unexplored areas all across Pandora.
Borderlands 2 will make it’s debut appearance later this month at both Gamescom and PAX Prime so if you’re attending either of those events, be sure to stop by 2K Games and check out the game.
As you can see above, Game Informer will have Borderlands 2 as their September issue cover story so expect more information to trickle out as the month goes on. For now you can check out the game announcement of the official website.
