Cosplay is a well-established gaming tradition, and you clearly don’t have a proper gaming expo unless you can attract a Commander Shepherd or Chell impersonator. Note: bonus points are also given if Chell carries a meticulously detailed Portal gun.

At this year’s Eurogamer Expo, cosplayers came out in force. We definitely noticed an increase in dressed-up gamers compared to previous years, and the quality seemed better too.

We photographed some of the best over the past few days and uploaded them into a neat gallery below for your viewing pleasure.

Make sure you check out the Silent Hill nurses – for those who don’t know anything about Silent Hill, all we can say is that they aren’t the type of nurses males often fantasise over. No, these are the stuff of nightmares, and these two lovely ladies look truly horrific. Top marks to them.

A competition was also hosted over the weekend, which offered Nathan Drake lookalikes the chance to win a PS Vita and a game. The rules were simple: the most authentic Drake wins. The winner was chosen by Naughty Dog’s Richard Lemanchard. Check him out below; I’m sure you’ll agree that he is a well-deserved victor.

Yeah, sure, this is a lookalike. It's not really Nathan Drake. Honest!
