EA would like to remind you how awesome Battlefield 3 looks
With the war between EA’s Battlefield 3 and Activision’s Modern Warfare 3 breathing down our proverbial necks EA has hand-picked a set of screenshots to remind us all just how effin’ good Battlefield 3 looks, because it’s never too early to propagandize.
On October 25 (October 28 UK) EA’s preemptive strike on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 commences. At stake are millions of dollars, reputations and the title of most popular shooter.
As it stands Battlefield 3 is the underdog going up against the Goliath that is Call of Duty. However based on the recent rash of trailers and screenshots (including these) the DICE developed shooter is no pebble wielding David.
This holiday season gamers everywhere will bear witness to the joy of capitalism. Two of the industry’s, if not the top two, publishers gunning for each other utilizing all of their available resources as both Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 are without a doubt the top priorities for EA and Activision respectively. Even if shooters aren’t your bag this struggle for consumer attention between these two powerhouses is one of the most intriguing industry plot lines heading into the conclusion of a fantastic 2011.
