Say a big HELLO to our new writer…
Today PS3 Attitude are pleased to announce a new writer is joining our happy band of volunteers.
As you may know, PS3 Attitude is written not only to provide you with the best PS3-related stories and commentary, but also for good causes. Every ounce of revenue we generate is given to GamesAid, the video game industry charity.
So who is this new recruit?
Please say a big HELLO to Franki1988.
Franki graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in Creative Writing, and is also studying abroad in Japan where she currently resides. Our first Tokyo-based writer, Franki will be bringing you the latest news and features from the birthplace of PlayStation.
“I find living in Japan insane, everyday is a new adventure; if it’s not people randomly chatting to me on the streets in their broken but endearing English, it’s random Japanese school girls doing a dance routine on the commute train back home.”
A Duck Hunt addict by the time she was five years old, video games started to take over. As she grew older, Franki wanted nothing more than to spend all day playing the SNES, usually competing against her brother on Killer Instinct or breaking barrels and collecting bananas in Donkey Kong Country.
She eventually found the glory of the PSOne and started playing the Final Fantasy series along with a growing addiction to Resident Evil, hoping that someday she would just be as cool as Celes and just as fearless as Jill.
We asked Franki what colour she would be and why, and the answer was much more complex than we could have imagined.
“If I were a colour I would be Amaranth, because Amaranth can come in different shades. Always warm, usually bright, sometimes deep but never dull.”
At this point we realised we clearly had brought on a writer that is not afraid to step away from normal convention, so we’re looking forward to her thoughts on Japanese PS3 news.
Look out for Franki1988’s first contributions and please say a big hello to her in the comments below.
