Of all the game genres to have benefited from the advent of downloadable titles on the PS3, tower defense games have experienced the greatest growth in the digital realm.
Any and all discussions concerning the tower defense experience on the PSN begin and end with Q-Game’s visually tranquil yet subtly complex, PixelJunk Monsters (PJM).

You may not be familiar with any of the fighters in Supremacy MMA. It certainly has fewer stars than UFC Undisputed, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care about these guys.
Supremacy MMA’s tagline reads “every fighter has a story”. The developer Kung Fu Factory shows this by having a story mode that actually explores the histories and personalities of the fighters, and looks to find out why they fight. Respect is also shown to their fighting styles.
No two fighters fight the same way, and every fighter has their own reasons for fighting. These are the stars of Supremacy MMA…
When it comes to pinball games, Zen Studios is the champion. First the development studio brought us creative tables that delved into the depths of our imagination with Zen Pinball. What originally started as four tables soon evolved to 11, including tribute tables to popular franchises such as Street Fighter and Ninja Gaiden.
Then in 2010, they kicked it up a notch and released Marvel Pinball; a collection of tables devoted solely to our favorite superheroes. Who doesn’t like Blade, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine? Marvel Pinball essentially revitalized the pinball genre and brought it to a whole new audience.
For this reason, we have selected Marvel Pinball as our #14 pick in PS3 Attitude’s Top 20 PSN titles.

Released in late 2010, players all over the globe have yet to take a break from slaying zombie hordes in Dead Nation. 3.8 million players as a matter of fact. The support for the PSN exclusive title has yet to dwindle as the game has reached an amazing milestone; 11,700,000,000 zombies killed! That’s a lot of rotting flesh.
As a reward for our dedication to decapitation, Housemarque has announced that the studio is busy developing a new chapter for Dead Nation called Road to Devastation.
Yesterday, Sony in partnership with Mercedes-Benz hosted a competition which had former F1 driver David Coulthard thrash around the famous Top Gear Test Track in real life while gamers challenged his times in Gran Turismo 5. David Coulthard won, but there was less than half a second in it. It was thrilling to watch.
Here at PS3 Attitude, we’re celebrating our ’20 Days of PSN’. Coming in at number 15 – Warhawk.
Released back in 2007, Warhawk was a re-imagining of a game brought to the PlayStation in 1995. Crafted with a great deal of skill by the people at Incognito Entertainment, Warhawk has gone on to become one of the most loved PSN titles ever.
Gran Turismo 5’s reputation as the ‘real driving simulator’ was tested today in an event held by Sony in partnership with Mercedes-Benz.
Six gamers, in their racing pods, tackled the virtual Top Gear Test Track, while former F1 driver David Coulthard ripped up the real thing. The Flying Scotsman was the winner, but the result couldn’t have been any closer.
Avast ye, me hearties! At PS3 Attitude, we’re celebrating the PlayStation Network with our ’20 Days of PSN’ feature, and coming in at number 16 is Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge.
Monkey Island 2 was released in 1991 with more characters, puzzles, islands and dialogue than Secret of Monkey Island. It’s the strongest of the series and possibly the greatest graphic adventure ever. PSN has the essential 2010 Special Edition, which is the best version available.

Frankly, we don’t really have to tell you much about Shatter in that you already know it’s a fantastic game. This is a movie tie-in game with a difference. Based off the film which was in turn, based off a series of graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley, you play as Scott Pilgrim, fighting for the right to date Ramona Flowers by defeating all 7 of her evil ex-boyfriends. And thats pretty much all the story you get, although that’s really all the story you need.
While zombies and a haunted village are good and all, they pale in comparison to knights in shining armor, four knights as a matter of fact. Castle Crashers invaded the PlayStation Network nearly two years after their Xbox 360 counterpart but it was definitely worth the wait for fans The Behemoth.
Set in a fictional medieval universe, an evil wizard bent of world domination has stolen your castle’s magical crystal and four princesses. As a knight, it’s your duty to rescue the damsels in distress, defeat the wizard, and restore peace throughout the kingdom.
