MonkeyPaw Games brings Japanese PS one classics to the EU PS Store

Submitted by on Wednesday, 5 October 2011One Comment

When it comes to getting classic Japanese PS one titles on the PlayStation Store, no one does it better than MonkeyPaw Games. Up until now, these releases have been confined to the US Store. Not anymore.

MonkeyPaw Games announced today the launch of the new PS one Import Section on the European PS Store. The first three titles to grace the new store  are Arc the Lad, Cho Aniki and Sonic Wings Special.

“Why is it that so many classic Japanese titles haven’t seen distribution outside of Japan?  MonkeyPaw’s mission is to share these forgotten gems with gamers around the globe.  We’re excited to offer our digital download import and classic titles to the European PlayStation®Store. It’s just a taste of what’s to come,” said John Greiner, president and CEO of MonkeyPaw Games, Inc.

If you’ve always wanted to play these games but never had an import system, now’s your chance. Each costs only EU 4.99. Hopefully in the coming weeks we’ll see more Japanese imports grace both the European and North American stores. What classic game would you like to see re-released?
