Zombies invade Tokyo in Yakuza: Dead Souls
Last week SEGA teased games with images containing Japanese text in red, and now we know exactly the meaning of them. SEGA has annouced that Yakuza: Dead Souls will be coming to North America and Europe in March, exclusively on the PS3.
Dead Souls is the localized version of Yakuza of the End that released earlier this year in Japan. The game will feature the entire main storyline along with an added bonus Pachislot mini-game.
The living dead have invaded the Kamurocho district of Tokyo and it’s up to the Yakuza to put an end to them once and for all. You’ll be able to play as one of four main characters; Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Ryuji Goda, and Shun Akiyama.
“We know how much people love Yakuza in the West, and with Dead Souls being the latest and greatest in the franchise, it’s only right we bring it to them closer to the Japanese release than ever.”– said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA.
While the Yakuza series has never been one to use guns before, it becomes a different story when zombies are involved. You’ll be able to use a variety of pistols, machine guns and even rocket launchers to take down the undead hordes.
Yakuza: Dead Souls is due out March 2012 in both North America and Europe so mark your callendars.
