Alien Spidy creeps its way onto the PSN in 2012
Spanish development studio Enigma Software Productions’ Alien Spidy has been picked by for digital distribution by Kalypso Media.
The platform adventure game is scheduled for release in 2012, but we have an early look at some screenshots that give us a glimpse of our spider protagonist and the vibrant world it lives in, as well as the dangers you’ll face.
In the screens, we can clearly see some of the other animal encounters you’ll come across such as lizards, eels, giant mosquito-like bugs, and Venus Flytraps. It looks like no environment is safe for our arachnid friend. It appears that the objective of each level is to gather the surrounding flies using your silk webs, all the while avoiding the dangers.
One of the first things we noticed about the screens is how similar in style they are to Limbo, albeit with a lot more color. Not much of Alien Spidy has been revealed, but these screen intrigue us enough to keep it on our radar. Hopefully we’ll get a trailer soon so we get a sense of how the game will play.
