Assassin’s Creed – the story thus far

assassins creed revelations Assassins Creed the story thus farWith the release of Assassin’s Creed Revelations mere days away, the development team at Ubisoft figured we could all use a proper refresher on the narrative as we head into the series’ fourth game.

Whether the major plot points have faded from your memory with the passing of time or you never had the opportunity to experience the comforting embrace of the animus, a quick story summary is a great way to prepare yourself for Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Furthermore Ubisoft did a nice job in crafting the synopsis in a spoiler-free manner.

Revelations, the fourth game in the Assassin’s Creed line-up, is a culmination of a narrative sculpted by Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Since the series inception in 2007, the franchise has proven to be one of the more engaging experiences in the industry.

With Ubisoft labelling Assassin’s Creed Revelations as ‘the final chapter in the Ezio trilogy’, many fans hope that the upcoming game will provide oh-so-sweet relief in the form of the conclusion for many of the series’ major plot threads.

Like a piece of delicious pumpkin pie at the end of a long Thanksgiving feast, gamers are going to have to squeeze Revelations into a jam-packed 2011. As a quick reminder Assassin’s Creed Revelations hits stores on November 15th.
