Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Noob and Vet trailer

Submitted by on Tuesday, 8 November 2011One Comment

o sam worthington and jonah hill star in the latest cod modern warfare 3 trailer Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Noob and Vet trailerJonah Hill of Superbad fame and Sam Worthington from Avatar have lent their collective acting and urban warfare talents to help spread the word that despite obvious appearances “there’s a soldier in all of us”.

If the combination of Jonah Hill and a high-powered assault rifle seems a bit askew well good that means you’ve got a pretty firm handle on reality. Fortunately for Jonah, action-star Sam Worthington has plenty of experience as a one man wrecking machine.

“THERE’S A SOLDIER IN ALL OF US”

Worthington plays the ‘vet’ to Hill’s ‘noob’ in the live-action trailer directed by Peter Berg (Hancock, Friday Night Lights) featuring an assemblage of Call of Duty familiar situations. In the course of the roughly 1.5 minute trailer Mr. Worthington dual-wields a pair of SMGs, takes down a helicopter with a missile turret and defies gravity while Jonah Hill trips a land mine and does his best to blow himself up via RPG.

The inclusion of stars like Sam Worthington and Jonah Hill is an indication of how far the video game industry has come in the past few years. Über popular games like Call of Duty have made considerable headway in the casual gamer demographic, successfully injecting video games into the mainstream.

As always we’d love it if you’d sound-off on the trailer. Yay or nay on this star-laden TV-spot and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in general?
