Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector’s Edition revealed for North America
Square Enix has reveled what will be included in the North American Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy XIII-2, as well as announced retailer specific pre-order bonuses.
Available for $79.99, the Collector’s Edition will include a 4-disc official soundtrack and a full-color concept art collection, all of which are bundled together in packaging featuring exclusive artwork by Yoshitaka Amano.
Depending on where you pre-order any version of Final Fantasy XII-2 from, you can receive one of three items. GameStop is offering an alternate costume for Serah. Amazon is offering an exclusive boss enemy called Omega. Finally, Best Buy is offering a collectible hardcover book that bridges the gap between XIII and XIII-2.
Europeans, as you already know, have more of an option in terms of what version of Final Fantasy XIII-2 they want.
In addition to the standard version of the game, there’s the Limited Collector’s Edition which includes a soundtrack CD, art book, six postcards, and an HD lenticular art print of Lightning. You can go one step further and get the Crystal Edition which includes all of the above plus a t-shirt and the soundtrack is four discs instead of one. They cost £60 and £80 respectively.
It’s also interesting to note that if you pre-order the game from European retailers, you’ll receive a FFXIII-2 Pre-Order Pack which includes a bundle of all the American pre-order items plus an additional steelbook case and art cards.
From the looks of things, it sounds like Europe is getting the better deal this time around. Do you intend to pick of Final Fantasy XIII-2 when it’s released early next year? If so, what version do you plan on purchasing?
