Rumours that Rockstar North are working on a new Grand Theft Auto game have been flying around for a couple of years now. Finally, last week Rockstar confirmed what everyone already knew, and announced Grand Theft Auto V to the world.

Along with the game’s announcement came the news that the first trailer would be released on 2nd November. That just happens to be today, and the trailer is live right now!

It looks like the game will be set in Los Santos (GTA’s version of Los Angeles, first seen in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), most likely in the present day, and will have a thematic focus on the global recession.

Expect to hear much, much more on Grand Theft Auto V over the next few days, just as soon as the internet has a chance to dissect every last frame of the trailer.
