London Gaming Con debuts next month at the Rocket Complex
A new 18+ games convention is to be held at London’s Rocket Complex next month on 3-4 December.
London Gaming Con, the sister event of London Anime Con, is looking to bring together over a 1000 visitors from the capital’s game-loving community for a night of games, culture and music.
Gamers will get the chance to take part in massive tournaments and sample new titles, as well as enjoy music from live bands and top gaming DJs, such as Nintendisco. Tim Wright, better known as CoLD SToRAGE, will also be there to play music from his back catalog. Wright has written music for over 60 games, including Lemmings and WipEout.
There will be a retro zone, modern games, handheld zone, LAN gaming, a dance and song zone, tournament battles, trading card gaming and more areas. Sonia Leong and Sweatdrop will hold several artist and manga related workshops, and cosplay workshops will also be done, and publishers, such as PQube, will be in attendance to exhibit their titles.
There will be over 30 tournaments, an ultimate gamers quiz, a cosplay contest, late-night karaoke and a late-night cinema. £100 prize will also be up for grabs in the Ultimate Gaming Championship.
Doors will open at 11am and the event will carry on through to 1am. Tickets are £10 on the door, but it is only £14 for both days if you pre-pay via the website (http://www.
