Spike’s annual Video Game Awards is tonight and it promises us an evening of exciting announcements and trailers.
The event will have preview trailers for Metal Gear Rising, BioShock: Infinite, The Amazing Spider-Man and Rainbow Six: Patriots. We can also expect an announcement from EPIC Games, BioWare and a PS3 world premiere exclusive, The Last of Us.
Tekken Tag Tournament was one of the early highlights of the PS2 era, and it’s possibly the most fondly remembered of the series. Nevertheless, nostalgia has its way of clouding one’s judgement, and the question …
Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest is an on-rails action/adventure title, exclusively for use with the PlayStation Move. Developed by SCE San Diego Studio and Zindagi Games, Medieval Moves takes the mechanics of Sports Champions (created by the same team), and applies them to an action/adventure game. It’s an interesting concept, but does it work in practice?
Move Mind Benders is a somewhat surprising release from Sony; a compilation of Move-enabled PlayStation Network games, all available on a single Blu-Ray disc.
The package includes three of the best puzzle games on the PlayStation Store – echochrome ii, Lemmings and Tumble, and is presumably aimed at PS3 owners who are not connected to PSN.
In strict accordance with the previous, rather extended delay of Castle Crashers on the PS3, the pink knight character pack is now available for download a little over a year after the brawler’s release.
Highlights this week include DLC packs for Resistance 3 and Battlefield and a slew of full game downloads.
This week’s update brings a pair of DLC packs for Battlefield 3 and Resistance 3. Other highlights include an incredibly long list of Hyperdimensia Neptunia price cuts and some full game downloads.

It’s just over a year since the launch of the PlayStation Move, and, in the last few weeks, a new wave of titles has been released for the motion controller. Two of these games are EyePet & Friends and Start the Party! Save the World, both of which are sequels to previous Move-enabled games.
So, how do they play?
New developer Might & Delight has announced its first video game venture in the form of Pid, an adventure/platformer set on a remote planet filled with robotic looking inhabitants.
Coming in 2012 as a digital download, Pid allows players to bend gravity to their will in order to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and traverse the beautiful world you just so happen to be stranded on. The game has all of the elements of a platformer. There are items to collect in the form of stars, complex puzzles to unlock, and larger-than-life bosses to encounter.

Oh hey look at that, a combat guide for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Holloway Road, Islington isn’t the liveliest part of London, so the sight of over a hundred gamers —Mario and Toad included— queuing outside The Rocket Complex must have raised a few eyebrows.
Yes Spike TV’s annual Video Game Awards may be roughly a week away but that hasn’t stopped many of the shows announcements from leaking to the public early. Including this chaotic trailer introducing the latest exclusive slated for PS3 release, The Last of Us.
Have a look.
Saints Row 2 was released just over three years ago, and since then the development team at Volition Inc. has had one question on its mind; how can we make the series even crazier? It turns out the answer to that question is Saints Row: The Third, which defies realism in pretty much every way, and is perfectly happy with its status as a video game.
While this may not be the cavalcade of must-have content that the European stores have seen before, this week’s update does give us the chance to download a few games which have been properly aged and are now ripe for purchase.
