Starhawk dated; Max Payne 3 delayed
Starhawk officially made its way onto the 2012 calendar while Max Payne 3, not to be outdone, issued its second launch date.
Genre-bending, PS3-exclusive Starhawk will take its spot on store shelves on May 8th in the US (presumably May 10th in the UK). In conjunction with the release date announcement the previously private beta has been opened up to the public, PlayStation Plus members that is. Plus members looking for a different sort of multiplayer experience can jump into the Starhawk beta immediately. For a look at what is to be expected take a look at the video below.
Rockstar Games pushed the release date of Max Payne 3 back from its initial March window to a more precise May 15/May 18 (US/UK). The move effectively moves Max Payne’s Brazilian expedition out of parent company,Take-Two Interactive’s 2012 fiscal year. However Take-Two CEO, Strauss Zelnick provided reason for the delay beyond mere balance sheet juggling.
“We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our company.” – Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick
Apparently Starhawk and Max Payne 3 will be going head-to-head in mid-May. If push comes to shove which one will choose?
