Calling all SoulCaliber V players
Yes, a sword.
On March 17th Soul Calibur V fans from around Europe and Oceania will gather in London to the revel in the glory of their favorite fighting game at Soul Calibur Impact. But much like the World Cup is a celebration of the world’s game, there’s a competition to be held and prizes to be claimed.
In conjunction with the festivities, which include a DJ and random prize giveaways, UK-based gamers are invited to test their mettle against the best players in the area in an on-site tournament held in the newly renovated and historic St. Stephen’s community building. First place will net £500, a Madcatz fight stick, a ‘Cervantes’ T-shirt from Insert Coin as well as entrance into the European finals to represent yourself as well as your country.

EU Final: The EU final will take place straight after the UK tournament, kicking off around 4pm – same day, same venue. We will welcome players from across the continent and other PAL territories such as Australia. The winner of this gets to go to the world final and wins £1,000 amongst other things.
UK Tournament Registration:
To enter, fill out the form here: www.soulcalibur-impact.com. Please note that we do expect the tournament to be subscribed so this doesn’t guarantee your spot. Please arrive early for registration on the day to secure your spot.
Party: Throughout the day we’ll be giving away on-the-spot prizes and freebies. We’ll have lots of set ups for casual play including previous SoulCalibur games (SoulCalibur Dreamcast tournament anyone?), free refreshments, DJ, etc. So if you fancy coming down and kicking the Namco Bandai staff’s asses on a few games and having a few drinks then we’ll be there until 11pm.
For the one soul (couldn’t resist) fortunate enough to claim the EU championship, the team at Namco Bandai will present them with a check for £1000, a trip to the world final and an authentic Soul Edge sword crafted specifically for the occasion. Those intent on claiming the Soul Edge sword would be wise to pick up their sticks and get practicing.
If the tournament isn’t really your thing Soul Calibur Impact is still a worthy venture based on the venue alone. The dramatic architecture of St. Stephen’s makes for a tremendous setting to meet like minded gamers. If you live in the area and your schedule’s free on the 17th well, looks like you’ve got plans now.
