Voice Talent Announced for Mass Effect 3
You may have guessed that Martin Sheen is returning to reprise his role as The Illusive Man, but what role will former teen heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. play?
BioWare released a special video today giving fans a rundown of all of the voice talent team assembled for Mass Effect 3.
We may have grown accustomed to seeing a cast of legitimate Hollywood talent in a video game lately (Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim) but imagine how far fetched a scenario like Martin Sheen as The Illusive Man would have seemed even 10 years ago (Cory Feldman as Crash Bandicoot anyone?). It’s a sign of the times and a testament to the evolution of the video games industry.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the passion and emotion the entire cast brought to their performances in Mass Effect 3. In a story where Earth and the entire galaxy are at war, we needed to take the performances to a level of dramatic power and intensity that we’ve never previously attempted. This extremely talented cast delivered.” - Executive Producer Casey Hudson
Without further adieu here is the list of the major voice talent lending their vocal chords to Shepard’s final assault:
Martin Sheen – The Illusive Man
Freddie Prinze Jr. – James Vega
Seth Green – Joker
Tricia Helfer – EDI
Ali Hillis – Liara T’soni
Jessica Chobot – Diana Allers
Keith David – Admiral Anderson
Jennifer Hale – Commander Shepard (female voice)
There you have it, these are the voices that will keep you company during your marathon sessions with Mass Effect 3. What do you think? Anyone you would have liked to see?
