Voice Talent Announced for Mass Effect 3

freddieprinzejr1 Voice Talent Announced for Mass Effect 3You may have guessed that Martin Sheen is returning to reprise his role as The Illusive Man, but what role will former teen heartthrob Freddie Prinze Jr. play?

BioWare released a special video today giving fans a rundown of all of the voice talent team assembled for Mass Effect 3.

We may have grown accustomed to seeing a cast of legitimate Hollywood talent in a video game lately (Fallout: New Vegas, Skyrim) but imagine how far fetched a scenario like Martin Sheen as The Illusive Man would have seemed even 10 years ago (Cory Feldman as Crash Bandicoot anyone?). It’s a sign of the times and a testament to the evolution of the video games industry.

“We are absolutely thrilled with the passion and emotion the entire cast brought to their performances in Mass Effect 3. In a story where Earth and the entire galaxy are at war, we needed to take the performances to a level of dramatic power and intensity that we’ve never previously attempted. This extremely talented cast delivered.” - Executive Producer Casey Hudson

Without further adieu here is the list of the major voice talent lending their vocal chords to Shepard’s final assault:

I think that voice acting in games has improved _soooooooooo_ much in recent years. Well, unless you're Nintendo, and still don't have any at all - one day they'll join the rest of us in the new millenium! But I'm fairly relaxed about who they use, as long as it's good. These do sound good though, and the voice acting in ME and ME2 was excellent :).

Axe99 Voice acting has come a long way from the "you, the master of unlocking" days.

I'm sure ME3 voice acting will be superb. BioWare tend to do it right. I wonder if they're working with Side again. I enjoyed writing a feature about them last year,.
