Killzone 3 multiplayer experience heading to the PlayStation Store
Killzone 3 celebrates its one year anniversary this week and to celebrate Guerrilla Games has announced that the full multiplayer portion of the game will be heading to the PlayStation Store as a standalone download next week. This is one birthday party everyone can be a part of.
In a blog post, GG states that Killzone 3 Multiplayer will include “Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone and Operations game modes, as well as the original Killzone 3 maps AND all Killzone 3 DLC maps.” Best of all, it will be free for everyone up until the rank of Sergeant I. After that, it’ll cost $15 to unlock the full multiplayer experience (along with four exclusive trophies too).
As an added bonus, those who do purchase the full game will be treated to a 24-hour double XP bonus, 3 free unlock points, the ability to set up clans and custom games, and access to the Botzone mode to help hone your combat skills.
If you already own a retail copy of Killzone 3 and feel left out, don’t worry because the following weekend from March 2 at 17:00 PM UK time until Monday, March 5 at 10:00 AM UK time will be Double XP for all.
Happy birthday Killzone 3. We couldn’t imagine celebrating any other way.

I highly recommend giving this a look, although cautiously. I loved the MP in KZ3 (and will use this opportunity to jump back on a bit, as there'll be a boost in numbers online :)), but some found it too watered down from KZ2, while the CoD fans still found it a little too hard to move around (they still had some inertia). But if you go into it on its own rights as a game, and try and play it as KZ3 rather than anything else, it's a lot of fun :).
