Heavy Hitters; a look at the enemies of BioShock Infinite

Submitted by on Thursday, 8 March 2012One Comment

Heavy Hitters is a new series of videos that showcase the many enemies protagonist Booker DeWitt will encounter in the city of Columbia. In the first video, creative director Ken Levine, art director Nate Wells and lead artist Shawn Robertson introduce us to the Motorized Patriot, a “clockwork terminator” that will just keep coming at you no matter what.

Made in the likeness of President George Washington, the Motorized Patriot is armed with a Pepper-Mill gatling gun that can inflict heavy damage on the player. Since it’s a machine, it has no fear and won’t back down at all. The only way of getting rid of it is by destroying it, and that’s going to take some series firepower.

Should you manage to defeat a Motorized Patriot, you’ll be rewarded with his Pepper-Mill gatling gun. It’s the only place you’ll be able to get your hands on one so you must determine if the risk of fighting one of these terminators head on is worth the reward.

The Motorized Patriot is only the first of many more videos to come that showcase the enemies you’ll encounter in BioShock Infinite. The game is set to be released on October 16 in North America and on October 19 in Europe.
