Crysis 3 – gameplay teaser
This is what it looks like when New York City becomes a vibrant rain forest.
As is quickly becoming the mode of announcing AAA titles, the existence of Crysis 3 was unceremoniously leaked before either Crytek or EA would have liked. The follow-up to 2011’s Crysis 2 however comes with a distinct air of inevitability in light of the franchise’s strong console debut.
The teaser represents only a small portion of Crysis 3’s full debut trailer slated for release on April 24th. In it we get our first look at CELL’s nanodome encased New York and Prophet’s slick new compound bow.
Given the freshness of the game’s announcement, the in-game footage is very unique. It’s not often that a studio in this position is willing or able deliver any intimate looks at their game. Of course the combination of Crytek’s prominence and the pedigree of the Crysis franchise is unique on its own merits.
Be sure to check back with us on the 24th for the full trailer. For additional coverage check out what the Crytek CEO had to say about the game’s announcement.
