Sony is boasting about MotorStorm RC PSN stats since launch. According to a press release from the company, “fans of the critically-acclaimed, fast-paced racing title MotorStorm: RC are creating PSN friendships, new challenges and Trophies quicker than ever before…”

So what are these stats? Since launching in America and Europe in February alongside the PS Vita, the Micro Machines-style Cross Play title is seeing the following activity:

• A new MotorStorm: RC event begins somewhere in the world every single second
• 19 downloads of MotorStorm: RC every minute
• At least two new PSN friendships are ignited and two new challenges are sent every minute
• Every 60 seconds, eight PlayStation Trophies are awarded to MotorStorm RC players on their way to earning the prestigious “Lunatics Unite” Platinum Trophy

It’s always nice to see these type of stats for our favourite games, but Sony does have an ulterior motive for publishing them. Sony recently released the MotorStorm RC’s Carnival Expansion pack and the company is keen to make people aware of its existence.

The pack offers six new tracks, 24 new events and eight new vehicles, all for £2.39/$3.99. Check out the trailer below:
