PS3A PlayTime – week of 14 May, 2012

Submitted by on Monday, 21 May 20123 Comments

playtime PS3A PlayTime week of 14 May, 2012You play games and, this may surprise you, so do we. The PS3 Attitude team is always hard at work writing the fabulous posts you enjoy reading so much. So how do we find the time to play the games we love? Better yet, what have we been playing?

“It takes a village to raise a child”, and that village needs to take a break every once in a while. What with all the Uncharteds, Battlefields, Need For Speeds, and Mortal Kombats in our libraries, its hard to get to them all.

Vita solves one gaming dilemma, console-quality gaming while on the go, while posing a whole new problem; the games are just as big on Vita as on PS3. Our free time is not what it used to be.

The writing staff behind PS3 Attitude has been asked to answer three simple weekly questions, but we would love to hear your answers as well. Keep us informed in the comments below.

1. What games have you been playing this week?

2. Did you accomplish something cool?

3. What are you watching or reading this week?

What’s he been playing: FIFA Football (Soccer in the US) for Vita; all offline career mode

What’s he accomplished: I finally got the trophy for the double-touch move; passing the ball to a player by touching the front screen, then scoring with the receiving player using the back pad. Harder than it seems…

What’s he watching/reading: Currently hooked on Unforgettable, Touch and Alcatraz, but I only expect one of those to get renewed so I’m not getting too attached.

What’s he been playing: Assassin’s Creed II, Treasures of Montezuma Blitz and FIFA on Vita.

What’s he accomplished: I’ve spent a whole week chasing the platinum in Assassin’s Creed II. If I ever see another feather in my lifetime, it’ll be too soon.

What’s he watching/reading: I’m going through a Lost marathon (I know, between this and ACII, my week hasn’t been very current). I’m on season 4, and it’s still bleak – but tremendous viewing.

What’s he been playing: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.

What’s he accomplished: Finally beginning Uncharted is an accomplishment, I’d say. Is it wrong that I’ve waited so long to play this game?

What’s he watching/reading: With The Avengers doing so well in the theaters, I decided to re-watch some Joss Whedon classics, beginning with Firefly. Shame this amazing show got cancelled after only one season.

What’s he been playing: Mortal Kombat on Vita, Pinball Arcade, Battlefield 3 online; Disney Universe and Lego Pirates of the Caribbean with my daughter, I swear!

What’s he accomplished: Finally finished the story mode in Mortal Kombat, ran through a whole team of winged opponents in Battlefield 3 online, and chipped away at the platinums in both Lego Pirates and Disney Universe. Both are amazingly fun family games!

What’s he watching/reading: I’m watching Lie To Me and reading Critical Path.
