PS3A PlayTime – week of 21 May, 2012

Submitted by on Monday, 28 May 20123 Comments

The PS3 Attitude team is always hard at work writing the fabulous posts you enjoy reading so much. So how do we find the time to play the games we love? We do find time, we must. But wouldn’t you rather find out what we’ve been playing?

“It takes a village to raise a child”, and that village needs to take a break every once in a while. This past week we finally got to see the release of a top notch PS Move game in Sorcery.

For Vita, Tabletop Tanks released. A new augmented reality game utilizing the rear camera, both analog sticks, the front touch screen and Wifi online multiplayer.

While Vita may solve one gaming dilemma, dual analog stick gaming on the go, it poses a whole new problem; the games are nearly as big on Vita as they are on PS3. Our free time will never truly be free anymore.

The PS3 Attitude writing staff has been asked to answer three simple weekly questions, but we would love to hear your answers as well. Keep us informed in the comments section that follows.

  1. What games have you been playing this week?
  2. Did you accomplish something cool?
  3. What are you watching or reading?

What I’m playing: FIFA Football and Hustle Kings – all offline.

Accomplishments: FIFA Football continues to perplex me. I can get a trophy for scoring five goals in the Arena before you even start a game, but nothing for winning the Cup Winners Cup, European Champions Cup, FA Cup, Premier League, Golden Boot and Player of the Year in a single season!

What I’m watching and reading: This week has been a tough one, so I mostly watched a couple of comedy shows to keep things light, like 8 out of 10 Cats and The Soup.

What I’m playing: Max Payne 3, Treasures of Montezuma, FIFA Football, WipEout 2048, Frobisher Says!

Accomplishments: Max Payne 3: Diving head-first off a balcony, twisting in mid-air to take out the three goons behind me with head shots, all before landing. Payne is super slick.

What I’m watching and reading: Been a very busy week, but I’ve slipped in a few episodes of Frasier and Lost. Also watched Kill List and Rowan Atkinson Live. Reading has been a mixture of Trainspotting, Official PlayStation Mag and PSM3.

What I’m playing: Played Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, both online and co-op modes.

Accomplishments: Beat Sylvania Castle Act 1 in under 1 minute and earned the Proof of Speed trophy in Sonic 4: Episode II.

What I’m watching and reading: Saw Men in Black 3 and Chernobyl Diaries. If you have a choice, see Men in Black 3.

What I’m playing: Mortal Kombat, Pinball Arcade and Table Tanks all for Vita.

Accomplishments: Bought, played and completed Table Tanks in 1 hour. Was hoping to get an hour and 99 minutes for my $1.99 investment. Online mode is all that’s left.

What I’m watching and reading: On the Netflix app, I finished Lie To Me, Ghost Whisperer and all the Heroes I can take. Started Prison Break. Waiting for more episodes of Bones on Hulu. Looking for copies of Hunger Games to read.

What I’m playing: Final Fantasy XIII-2.

Accomplishments: Finally captured every single tameable monster in the game (excluding DLC). With a total of over 150, that’s no mean feat!

What I’m watching and reading: Re-read Northern Lights and watched seasons 8 and 9 of The Simpsons (that’s when it was still good).
