Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz comes to Vita on 23 October with online multiplayer
Super Monkey Ball games have graced many new handheld launch lineups but the Vita was not one of them. As it turns out, Banana Splitz is officially landing on 23 October. Sporting lots of what you’d expect and plenty of new content tailored specifically for the PS Vita.
Aiai, Meme, Baby and Gongon can’t wait to roll through 100 stages. The levels take on a new aesthetic with materials like cardboard, wood and metal. If you’ve ever played a Super Monkey Ball game before, then you’ll likely remember minigames like Monkey Bingo or Monkey Target. Banana Splitz features a total of eight minigames.
The Vita’s Sixaxis tilt controls play an important roll, pun intended, in controlling your monkey ball through the brightly colored universe of Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz. You can also choose to use the front touch screen or the dual analog sticks as the primary controls. The game also takes full advantage of the the rear camera for creating custom stages with the pictures you take.
For the first time ever on a game console, Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz enables players to compete online using Wifi in multiplayer challenges. Keep track of your scores locally with GPS assistance or with the global leaderboards.
