The Expendables 2 hits theaters 16 August and the video game is tagging along for the ride. Its important to clarify that while the downloadable game bares the same name as the sequel to the original movie released last year, The Expendables 2 Videogame will actually end where The Expendables 2 movie begins. Confused yet? Then read on for a moment of zen.
This week has been a very busy week for the folks over at 2K Sports. Along with the reveal of their cover athletes, they dropped another nugget of info on us today. 2K Sports, the reigning king of all things basketball, announced a special treat for fans of its long running series, NBA 2K13 Dynasty Edition.
If you’re anything like me, then you’ve been searching for the perfect messenger bag, sling bag, or backpack to carry all your gadgets for a long time. I have officially crossed the line of someone collecting imperfect bags to somewhat of a bag whore, and I’m openly admitting that now. But I may have finally found that perfect bag. This week’s selection of fresh downloadable content centers around a cornucopia of some of the most successful franchises to ever hit a PlayStation. The likes of BioShock, Uncharted, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid and Ratchet & Clank are now available for purchase. If you’ve a trusty internet connection and have yet to play either of these classics, this is the update for you.
Other highlights include YouTube for Vita, a whole slew of price drops and a trio of PS2 classics.

Did you notice that the European PlayStation Store was missing the DLC table packs for The Pinball Arcade for PS3 and Vita? As it turns out, Farsight Studios made an announcement on Facebook informing fans of an unexpected, but welcomed delay. Since when are delays welcomed?
If you’ve yet to get started on either the Uncharted or Resident Evil series there are two things that we know about you. One, you don’t like care very much for yourself. And two, you’re in luck because this week the store update brings a crop of Uncharted and Resident Evil games to the digital scene.
With two giant franchises providing content this week we jump to the early 90′s with Digital Underground’s ‘Freaks Of The Industry’. It’s time we dug up some of that old-school hip hop.

The Journey Collector’s Edition has been announced by thatgamecompany, marking the studio’s first Blu-ray release.
It will include their three PS3 games so far: flOw, Flower and Journey – the latter is the fastest-selling PSN game ever.
Tecmo Koei has revealed the Dead or Alive 5 pre-order incentives and Collector’s Edition, and in true DOA fashion, included are a set of premium swimsuits. Clearly Team Ninja missed the recent heated debate on sexism in games.
The pre-order bonuses offer a choice between two exclusive sets of costumes, which are the ‘DOA Angels’ (a set of white swimsuits for Kasumi, Hitomi and Leifang) and the ‘DOA Devils’ (a set of black swimsuits for Tina, Christie and Ayane). Each set is exclusive to select retailers.
Sony has announced the pre-order bonuses for LittleBigPlanet Vita over on the PlayStation Blog. Depending on where you pre-order from, you’ll be treated to either a BioShock and Knights of Old costume pack.
Consider the bonuses a big thank you to those who have supported it since its reveal back at E3 2011 – or a cunning sales trick to get you in early. Who cares? It’s Big Daddy!
Capcom has announced a European exclusive to Collector’s Edition for Resident Evil 6.
Considering the Japan only edition is 105,000 yen which converts to a staggering £817, hopefully the prices for this edition will be easier on our wallets.
