No longer flying under the radar, developer, Vigil Games’ Darksiders series looks to make a splash this August with the release of Darksiders II. Having already done a tour with War, Darksiders II shifts focus onto his slightly more cantankerous horseman brother, Death.

See the angel of dark and light in action as he stems a tide of demons who’d like nothing better than to have at the flock of church goers cowering inside their doomed sanctuary.

Ordinarily the personification of Death is somewhat of a paltry skeletal figure with scythe in hand looking something like this or this. The Death of Darksiders II however is a dual-scythe toting emotionless (notice the lack of a mouth) killing machine. The horseman is swift as he is imposing.

Look for Darksiders II to make itself available this August (14 US/21 UK) and keep up to date with us as we will surely be covering what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games of the summer.
